I like options, and I believe having choices makes for a camera strap that you are proud to use. The Nitz Strap is a beautiful camera strap that I personalize to fit you. Everything from the hardware, length, and colors are tailored to you and what you enjoy the most. Here you will find all the weaves I offer, details on the hardware, and color swatches. Now keep in mind, I have over 225 colors/patterns/camo choices available to me, but I only stock 21 of them. If you see a a swatch you like, we can work together to make that happen. This does, of course, mean you have to email me your personalize choices, and that does add some time to the building process as I have to order that particular color. With that, let’s dive in.
Weaves:
The Thin Line ($30-$37 Wrist Strap / $60-$72 Neck Strap)
This is by far the most popular strap I make. It comes in two colors with a primary weave color and a “thin line” that runs down the center. This is 0.75″ wide.
Cobra ($30-$37 Wrist Strap / $60-$72 Neck Strap)
This is probably the most common weave in the paracord world. This comes in two colors with a flat side showing one color scheme and a rounded side showing the reverse color scheme. It’s secure, pretty, and comfortable. This is just over 0.75″ wide.
Blaze Bar ($30-$37 Wrist Strap/ $60-$72 Neck Strap)
This is the strap that I started with. I’ve carried duffel bags through airports and then transferred it to my camera when I arrived at my destination. This weave is flat and about 1″ wide. It all started here!
Double Cobra ($45-$52 Wrist Strap / $75-$87 Neck Strap)
Now we get to the hauss of the Nitz Strap lineup. This is the widest strap I offer, coming in at almost 1.25″ wide. I take two cobras and fuse them together. Like the normal Cobra, the color pattern is reversible depending on what side of the strap you look at.
Hardware:
Anchor Shackle
The anchor shackle is for those that want full beast mode for their camera strap. This is load rated to 400-pounds. Some use these type of shackles to hold their yachts in pristine bays, other use them to pull their trail rigs from a mud hole. Us photographers, we’ll use them in inventive ways to modify the light!
Split Rings
I include split rings with all orders. These are used to attach the hardware at the end of the camera strap to the camera. The ring on the left is the standard ring that is free with all orders. The ring on the right is a 250-pound rated split ring. It might be over kill, but if you want that extra bit of security, you can have it for $5 a ring.
OP/TECH Mini QD Loops
This is a great option for those users with lighter cameras. These are small, lightweight, and they even fit into the small eyelet mounting holes on smaller cameras. In my testing, these will hold 10lbs with ease. I do not recommend this hardware for large DSLR cameras! However, if you rock a point-and-shoot or mirrorless setup, definitely consider these!
OP/TECH Uni-Loop (Regular)
If the Mini QD Loops interest you but you have a beefier camera setup, then this is the option for you. These are a bigger and stronger buckle with a more substantial nylon cord sewn into the ends of the buckle. In the testing I have done, just one Uni-Loop will hold 50lbs, so image the rig you could hold with two of these bad boys sharing the work. That or, maybe, you just like one unified buckle to go between wrist and neck straps. I can dig that too! *Note: I do cut off the loop of the female end so that I can braid the buckle into the strap for a cleaner look*
Tripod Screw
When it comes to simplicity, this is it. Just screw this into the tripod point on the bottom of your camera and away you go. This includes a nice rubber washer to help protect the bottom of your camera and it also allows for a snug, and secure, fit. For those that wan small and light, this is the best option there is.
Locking Carabiner
These are the largest piece of hardware I offer, but also one of the quickest and easiest to get from one camera to another. These have a small screw style lock that keeps the snap securely fastened, yet allows for quick removal from the camera. This can also be combined with the tripod screw for a bit more flexibility and comfort.
